Neon Conveyor Isle Factory Game | Seven Stages to a Work Robot
On a dark sea sits an island of glowing ore. Dig it up, carry it on belts, process it in machines and deliver it to the Central Core in the middle. Each completed stage unlocks new machines and opens more land to build on. Deliver 25 work robots and the island is complete.
💡 About This Tool
Progress runs through 7 stages. A stage completes on its own once the Core holds enough, and the items it needs are used up.
| Stage | Deliver | You get |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 30 red ore | Furnace |
| 2 | 40 red steel, 30 blue ore | Workshop, splitter |
| 3 | 30 gears, 60 wire | Bridge, storage, land |
| 4 | 50 glass, 50 graphite | Assembler, sorter |
| 5 | 40 hard plates, 30 light tubes | Land |
| 6 | 30 motors, 30 circuit boards | All the land |
| 7 | 25 work robots | The end |
Every building is free and can be moved as often as you like. Machines take up one square and accept items from the 3 sides other than their arrow (the exit). A machine placed on a belt takes the belt's direction, so dropping a furnace into a line is enough to start smelting.
The small light at the top right of a machine shows where things are stuck: green is running, yellow is waiting for materials, and red means the exit is blocked.
For rough speeds, one drill digs 30 items a minute, one furnace makes 30 a minute, and a belt carries up to 221 a minute. The Upgrades tab spends items in the Core to speed up belts, drills and machines, each up to 5 levels. Every level adds 0.25 times the base speed, reaching 2.25 times at the top.
On a keyboard, number keys choose tools, R rotates, Ctrl+Z undoes and P pauses. On a phone, drag one finger to build and use two fingers to move the map.
🧐 FAQ
Q: Do buildings cost anything? A: No. Removing them is free as well, and undo goes back up to 60 steps.
Q: My belt has stopped. What should I do? A: A machine accepts only the materials for what it is making, so anything else halts the belt. Find the machine with the red light and check past its arrow. A sorter can separate a mixed belt.
Q: What happens to production when I close the page? A: When you come back, you collect an estimate at half the rate that reached the Core in the 5 minutes before you left. It is capped at 4 hours, and absences under 30 seconds don't count.
Q: When is my game saved? A: Every 20 seconds, shortly after you change a building, and whenever you finish a stage. Items moving on belts and materials inside machines aren't saved. Storage contents are kept.
Q: The mouse wheel won't zoom. A: So that it doesn't fight with page scrolling, the wheel zooms after you click once inside the game. In fullscreen it works right away. The + and − buttons at the top right also zoom.
Q: Can I move my game to another browser? A: Yes. Make a save code on the Records tab, paste it in the other browser and press Load.
📚 Fun Facts
Ford's Highland Park plant in Michigan started building magnetos on a crude moving line in April 1913. According to The Henry Ford museum, a car took 12½ hours under the old stationary methods. By early 1914 the separate lines had merged into three continuous ones, and a Model T was coming off them every 93 minutes.
The lesson carries over to this game. A faster belt does little while a single slow machine holds up the line, so the quickest gains usually come from finding that one machine.
